has anyone done this before? thinking of booking it for my 3 teenagers. how long of a ride is it and where can you book it through? thanks for any help!
outrigger canoe rides
I think the outrigger rides are one of the better activities in hawaii, especially for the low cost usually about $15. The waves in waikiki break really far out so you get these long rides, they usually ride two waves and you are out in the water about 20 minutes, also you get too experience what it is like sitting out in the water with the surfers, it is very scenic with diamondhead to the side. The steersmen tend to be the old beach boys type that add a lot of color, prepared to get yelled at- they don%26#39;t like to miss a wave. '; You guyz gots to paddle haddah';. They often will take pictures from the shore that make a memorable souvenir.
The outrigger rides all are located at the beach stands from the Outrigger Hotel to Dukes Statue. Go early, after lunch it is sometimes hard to get one to go out, remember this is what made Hawaii famous and there is no other place in the world where you will do an outrigger ride so don%26#39;t miss it.
