Westin Ka'anapali Ocean Resort Villas

Do I understand correctly that at present time, the ORV have construction going on but it should be finished sometime this summer (August 07)?. Does anybody know this to be true?

There will be SOME units available for occupancy in August at the Westin Villas North. But constuction will continue on the northerly part of the resort. If you%26#39;re staying in what%26#39;s called the Westin Kaanapali Ocean Resort Villas, the seemingly endless construction going on next door has just moved a little further north, hopefully out of earshot. If you%26#39;re one of the first people to occupy the North Villas (and I understand that these are principally sold out), you%26#39;ll have to contend with some construction for quite a while yet. They have been saying that the villas would be open for occupancy in August. This is not the same as saying that they would ALL be open in August or that construction will end then.When I was there in March the southern units were substantially done and even landscaped, but the construction of the north units had barely started. They%26#39;re going to be doing construction in that plot of ground for probably the next seven years.

Thanks to all. I was just curious as we will be staying there late September. We are getting a REALLY good price for going to a timeshare presentation and figured we will be getting a REALLY crummy view or location of the room.

We are here now at KORV. I can see the new building a a fun pool with a pirate ship in the middle. It looks ready for the final coating of plaster or tile. No water yet. Landscaping is almost done all around and I can see furniture is in some of the rooms. Construction is not a problem. I saw some equipment landscaping between the new bldg and the water.

Lots of snorkelers, walkers, and pool lovers today. Beautiful place with helpful staff.

Love the free internet access in rooms, and wireless in lobby too.

I%26#39;m thinking of staying at the ORV in March/April 08 with my two teenage sons. Can anyone suggest where to get a good deal? I have emailed a couple of VRBO but haven%26#39;t heard back.

I booked with Costco on this property and saved over 1000 vs expedia and the rest-The airfare is where i really saved as costco gave me package vs rack rate-dont forget alaska begins flying out of Sea-Tac to honoullu next month.

mex, not sure if you%26#39;re referring to the BBQ pits at Kahekili (Airport) beach adjacent to the ORV%26#39;s, but if so, they are great!! I%26#39;m not the biggest fan of the ORV property, but the beach is one of the nicest and cleanest on the island...

Public areas (grass, sand, bathrooms etc..) are awesome and the BBQ area is also one of the largest and nicest I%26#39;ve seen! There is plenty of space; however, I imagine it can get much more crowded over the summer than it was last week when I was there. You might want to contact the resort to inquire about reserving...

SeattleMomwteens, I%26#39;d also check: craigslist SFbayarea, and craigslist Hawaii. Seen some great last minute deals here, and also on EBay for ORV%26#39;s.

Also, you should try to register on the Westin site as an interested party in their Timeshare program, like Spa-mama (a regular here..) did! She got a great offer from Westin for a trip next year!
