Aloha and mahalo for all of your help! This website is wonderful!
I know that the State Fair will be going on while we are in Hawaii. I was wondering if the swap meet was still open. If it is still open, are there still as many vendors?
9 and a half days and counting!!!!
Alohs Swap Meet and State Fair
I%26#39;am afraid that I don%26#39;t know, but I%26#39;am bumping you back up so that maybe someone that does can help you. Good luck.
Alohs Swap Meet and State Fair
we were at the swap meet a month ago-took us 3 hours to walk around but vendors said there are now 1/3 of the vendors there that there used to be.
we found some real bargains there for fake designer bags and souveniers but most of the things you buy there are for sale at the international marketplace in waikiki for not much more! most of the stalls sold the same items. not sure it is worth the trip but we went on a wednesday after doing the arizonal memorial as it is only a short walk from the memorial.
Here%26#39;s the website for the swap meet:

Also, those freebie tour booklets like Oahu Gold also have free admission coupons for the swap meet, although it%26#39;s only $1 for admission! It%26#39;s probably better to go on the weekend days and in the morning instead of later afternoon, when some vendors start packing up.
I think the prices were still better overall at the swap meet than at the international market place stalls, although the price do vary around the swap meet as well! It%26#39;s a good place to get inexpensive souvenir and gifts although Walmart, Costco, Sam%26#39;s Club and Don Quijote actually had good gift items as well!
Yes, the Swap meet is open.. Wednesdays, Saturday %26amp; Sundays. Wednesdays it is ia little smaller, not as many vendors...
We always get there EARLY because by 9:00 AM it can already be very warm and ';stuffy';.
As far as the State Fair is concerned.. DON';T bother!! It is not what you think, if your thinking baking contest, and the usual State Fair things. This is more of a small carnival.
Aloha
