Airline Question

Need Airline advice.

Looking for non stop round trip MAR 1 to MAR 8.

Live in riverside county, and was going to leave from john wayne, yesterday ALOHA had $525 fare, today its $750!

(travel agent didnt book thier spring special by yesterday , was the last day)

Company is paying for myself %26amp; wife so I only need to pay for my child, 1 ticket.

%26gt;%26gt; does anybody know if ALOHA will be running a new special?

Back up plan is ATA out of LAX, which is currently $322 per ticket.

%26gt;%26gt; can anybody comment on if much difference in service between ATA %26amp; ALOHA?

thanks

Airline Question

That $750 ticket is hard to swallow. Coronaman - make sure you sign up for email alerts from Aloha. I get a lot of emails from them, almost weekly it seems with sales, even for holiday and peak periods. I would not be surprised if they put seats for that time period on sale a couple of weeks before departure. I%26#39;m constantly getting emails with sale prices from SNA to any of the islands from between $149 and $199 each way. I also would check the website every day. The price is probably not going to higher than $750 so unless you%26#39;re worried the plane will be full, I%26#39;d just keep checking and waiting.

I have no experience with ATA because we avoid LAX like the plague - of course that%26#39;s easy to do because we live 10 minutes from SNA.

Airline Question

My mother and sister fly to Hawaii on ATA and they like it a lot. Let’s face it all airlines are pretty much the same now.

Sign –up for Aloha alerts. I’m sure they will have another special and it sounds like it would be more convenient for you to fly from OC.

Don’t pay $750, that’s outrageous. You can do a lot with the $$ difference.

Best of luck!

You might also want to check fares from Ontario. Depending on where you live in riverside its not too far. I personally love flying out of that airport. Nobody is ever there.

CoronaMan,

I live in Corona and fly out of John Wayne on Aloha. I have an AlohaPass that I signed up for online so I get email specials weekly like a previous poster has also said. Today I got one for $99 fares but it is only until Feb 28th so that doesn%26#39;t really help you. But I went to their site out of curiosity and found fares starting at $370 to Maui and $341 coming back. I would get on their site ASAP and book at that price. I had tried to book flights out of Ontario on ATA thru their website but could never make it work. It kept telling me the flight I wanted didn%26#39;t exist even though it is listed in PDF format on the site. Better off just going to JW. Good Luck.

Thanks Maui Junkie, as you can tell I also live in Corona.

ATA out of LA is about $300 cheaper than John Wayne, but I am thinking its worth the extra to go out of John Wayne instead of LAX.

I only need to buy 1 ticket since my company is paying for me and my wife.

I am hoping to get an email from aloha this weekend

we paid over $700.00 last April. You are going during peak season. Sometimes the airlines will offer last minute deals if you feel safe waiting that long. My mil always did and always got great prices. I always get my tickets waaaay in advance. I bought our tickets for May last October.
