has anyone stayed here, is there any other nearby hotels that you can easily walk to...to use restaurants, pool ..etc... mahana does not have a restaurant and a somewhat smaller pool...but the view from the rooms are fantastic...
any othe rhotels near mahana resortquest in maui???
I%26#39;m starting to feel like the marketing department for the Mahana. It is awesome. The pool was fine for us - never crowded. But we only used it a couple of times (too busy with other stuff).
Virtually next door are Ka%26#39;anapali Shores and the Embassy. I think you can even charge to your room at these properties (they have an arrangement with the Mahana). We ate in almost every night in order to enjoy the gorgeous sunsets from our lanai. We saved a ton of money doing this, as well.
If you stay there, you must visit the Honokowai Okazuyo %26amp; Deli, which is just down the street. Really good food, really good value, but not a lot of ambiance.
I%26#39;m not sure what the arrangement is to use the pools at the other properties (some places require a wrist band to keep non-guests from crowding out paying customers). Call the Mahana - the staff are very friendly and helpful and I%26#39;m sure they would be happy to answer your questions.

I second the Embassy Resort, you can eat at their restuarants. When we used to stay at The Mahana we enjoyed their outdoor bar by the pool because they would have live entertainment at night. We also ate at Kaanapali Shores once, the food was good. We also would just drive into Lahaina quite a bit since it%26#39;s so close, or to the Kaanapali resort area for restauarants.
