Maui Accomodations Advise

Hello, I am in the process of planning our vacation to Maui and would like to see if anyone has any information on the following places we are looking to stay. We are a family of four, total 2 kids, 18 year old and a 7 year old. I will list them in no particular oder.

Maui Lea @ Maui Hill - Kihei

Ka%26#39;anapali Beach Club - Lahaina

Vacation Internationale Hololani - Lahaina

Vacation Internationale Papakea - Lahaina

Outrigger Palms @ Wailea

If anyone that has stayed in any of these, can provide some info it would be greatly appreciated!. Thanks.

you may want to check out VRBO and see what the rentals go for by private owner in those complexes. I prefer to rent by owner because it%26#39;s less expensive and you know exactly what you are getting. Take a look. Also for The Palms check mauiownercondos, com for rentals by owner.

Aloha!

Personally, I would choose the Kaanapali Beach Club.

The property has more of a ';resort'; environment, it has a heated pool, waterslide, pretty gounds, game room, pretty lobby with talking birds, kids program, restaurants on-site, etc. Plus, the resort just had room renovations and the suites look very nice! Plus, I like the WEST Maui location better!

Your teen will probably be interested in the ';buzz'; around Lahaina and Kaanapali. I always suggest that young singles and couples stay in West Maui because it is a bear to come and go from it if you are staying South -- that 2-lane connector road can be problematic, and even dangerous at night.

It does look like you are only looking via agencies. Do see what%26#39;s available on vrbo so you can see the exact condo you will use and probably save at least 20% because the owner doesn%26#39;t have to pay agency commission.

Thanks for the input, these are the ones that looked the most appealing via RCI which is what I have.

We have stayed at the Hololani 3 times and have loved it. We haven%26#39;t seen the inside of the V.I. condo but all are ocean front with a view of the pool. The units are large and the management friendly. The outside is well maintained. You%26#39;ll see lots of families and couples. You can swim in the ocean at Kahana Beach but it is sometimes visited by seaweed and in the winter, the beach in front of the Hololani is almost non-existent. The B units get almost no road noise and you will definitely hear the ocean at night. No A/C and most of the time it is not needed. While some of these places say they are in Lahaina, that%26#39;s just a technicality. Hololani and Papakea are in Kahana.
