Kauai in September

Hi All, we%26#39;ll be spending 5 days in Kauai in September. We usually come in to Hawaii in April/May/June. We love to snorkel and particularly like the Queen%26#39;s Bath. Is the surf in Kauai much rougher in Sept compared to May? And has anyone ever swam in the Wet cave? I hiked down to it on a previous trip but was too chicken to jump in.......

Kauai in September

sept and may are about a push surf wise.. Air temp is higher, water is warmer and humidity is higher are the main differences.

I%26#39;ve been in QB a time or two. Watch out. At high tide a big wave can crash in making it highly turbulent. No fun bouncing off the lava -- it%26#39;s sharp.
