Does anyone know the best place to get the best deals in July for this Hotel? The rates have gone up in the last few years. Thanks

I will be staying at this hotel July 14-July 19. The best I could do was $3635 for a partial ocean view room. This includes room tax and a rental car for my 5 day stay. I booked this through Liberty Travel. I looked at the other travel sites (expedia, orbitz, travelocity) and this was the best I could do.

OMG - over $725 a day for room %26amp; car? That must be one fantastic place to stay!

I don%26#39;t think it%26#39;s worth it. You can get a lovely condo, drive the best car, etc. for a better price. However, some people like the hotel feel vs. privacy and more room. The Fairmont is a lovely property, but wow, $$$.

My dilemma is that I want the ';wow'; of a luxury resort (fancy pool, grounds, etc.), in addition to the space of a condo. At the Fairmont, the rooms are 800 square feet. Believe me, if I could find a condo with all the amenities of a luxury hotel, I would jump at it. I%26#39;ve looked at the Hyatt, Westin, etc. and they aren%26#39;t that much less expensive for half of a hotel room. Any condo tips would be greatly appreciated!

We got a ridiculously cheap deal on the Fairmont by booking our flight and hotel together through United.com. We went off season in October, but they still offer great deals over the summer. The other thing we did was book the lowest room category (moderate) and decided that we would just see how much it was to upgrade when we checked in. When we got there, we received a complimentary upgrade to a deluxe oceanview because I had signed up for the Fairmont President%26#39;s Club ahead of time.

Great advice! I%26#39;ve already signed up for the President%26#39;s Club. United.com%26#39;s rates were about the same and didn%26#39;t include room tax. It must be because we are traveling at peak time.
