FS Questions

Hi all! Does anyone know if the FS charges a daily parking fee? Also, how hard is it to get a cabana by the pool or on the beach? I sure hope we don%26#39;t have to get up at 6:00am to get one.

I know the GW charges a pretty hefty fee for the use of the cabanas. Does the FS?

Thanks in advance for the info!

FS Questions

We stayed there last Jan (06). I do not recall them charging for parking however I can not be certain you may want to call the hotel. The cabanas are free and we had no problem obtaining one however recently I hvae seen some post about the pool chairs and cabanas being hard to get. I sure hope not we are going again in May. FS has lots of freebies, bottled water everywhere, use of really nice gym with out door equiptment over looking the ocean and each treadmill has it own tv, they are give you earphones to plug in, complilmeatry fruit and cold towels and your workout, free yoga and canoe adventure which we loved, saw whales and sea turtles, free snorkle gear. While by the pool they come around with cold towels, water, spritz, fruit and even ice cream in the afternoon. I am sure I am forgetting a bunch but there are tons of freebies.

FS Questions

The FS does charge a $12.00 overnight parking fee. I believe this fee was instituted mid-06. Not really a big deal considering the wide range of services and amenities you get for free that most other resorts charge for.

Thanks to both of you!

winelover- we are also going in May for our wedding! May will be here before you know it! :)

Yes, the FS now does charge for parking whereas it used to be free if you self-park. Please note that the parking spaces are pretty tight so be careful as I did remember seeing lots of scraped up poles where people have hit their side view mirrors as well as mirror bits on the ground.

As for cabanas, I found that it was pretty easy to get the cabanas that were close to the kiddie pool but some of theses cabanas faced the beach and it was great to have during the afternoon when the breezes came in to cool you off. I found that most of the little kids were very well behaved around the kiddie pool. Some of the views from these cabanas were great because you can see the ocean and take in the beautiful scenery.

The best part around the pool is the Evian spritz and the cooled or frozen fruit that the staff came around with. So enjoy your stay!
