Grand Wailea or Westin Kaanapali with a 5 yr old?

This will be our 5 year old daughter%26#39;s third trip to Maui and she%26#39;s already spoiled by the Four Seasons. We have also stayed at the Westin Kaanapali but we have never stayed at the Grand Wailea. We have walked through the pool area before and noted that the Grand Wailea is a huge resort and you could hike a while before you get to the pool.

So now I%26#39;m looking for help from fellow tripadvisor members, which hotel would you recommend based on:

- pools (kid friendliness)

- pool service (cabanas, food %26amp; beverage service)

- beach and beach access

- keiki program (pricing, program)

- resort services (parking, resort itself, staff, and service)

- hotel room (size, bed comfort, bathroom, amenities)

- resort fees - what you get for this

Thanks in advance for all your recommendations!

Grand Wailea or Westin Kaanapali with a 5 yr old?

I would recommend the Grand Waliea. The rooms are much nicer and bigger than the Westin (westin%26#39;s rooms are tiny), the beach is better, the pool area with slides, rope swing, water elevator etc etc at the GW can%26#39;t be beat! The gardens are also much larger and more beautiful at the GW can%26#39;. We stayed at both hotels last year with our son, and we enjoyed the GW much more.
