Maui in November

Hello I am going on my Honeymoon in November and were doing Maui. Here are my choices... Westin, Hyatt, Mariott, or a condo... If we do a condo, I want a nice one, and a lot of people recomend Kaanapali Shores.. I am not to picky but would like it nice, and clean and a great view... Any suggestions? The hotels are more expensive.

If you could recomend a hotel that is nice, and mod. priced what would it be?

If you could recomend a condo that is NICE what would it be?

Help!

Thanks!

Maui in November

Hi, we frequent Maui and own a condo there that we rent out long term, so we stay elsewhere.

Anyway, we have been in November for Thanksgiving and it%26#39;s very very nice. I can recommend the following condo complexes to you that we have stayed at.

The Mahana -VRBO

Wailea Ekahi Village-VRBO and mauiownercondos.com

Wailea Elua Village - VRBO and mauiownercondos.com

Sugar Beach Resort - VRBO

Hale Pau Hana -hphresort.com

The Whaler- VRBO

Try VRBO for rentals by owner. I prefer going this route because you save money and you know exactly what you are getting.

Any beachfront property will cost more..... does this matter?

The three hotels that you list are beachfront on Kaanapali. The Mariott also has a second location in Wailea.

The condos on the same beach are the Whaler and the Alii, but there are others to the north that are not as expensive, the beaches are good, but not quite as nice.

The Whaler and the Alii are nice, check vrbo.com and check out the rates and the units that are available.

Kaanapali beach is a resort and the access is limited by parking unless you are staying in the resort. It has shopping and several restaurants at the Whaler%26#39;s Village plus a great area to snorkel at Black Rock opposite the Sheraton.

Condos away from the beach are less costly, so it would depend on what you consider moderately priced and if you want to stay in the resort.

Again, vrbo.com will give you information on units, locations, availability and prices.

We stayed at the Shores last November. While we totally loved, it was clean, nice, pretty grounds, two pools, pool bar, restaurant on site, it%26#39;s not in the same class as something like they Hyatt, Westin or the like. Of course it costs a lot less too! It was quite peaceful and not very crowded.

The beach in front is not as wide and the water is not as swimmable so we just went to other beaches during the day (Napili, Kapalua) but sat on the lounge chairs on the beach in front of the shores during from late afternoon to sunset time (and snuck a $3.00 mai tai from the pool bar out there).

If you%26#39;re trying to keep costs down, I can definitely recommend the Kaanapali Shores.

Hi boozie27,

I have been to Maui several times and always do the condo thing. It%26#39;s nice to be able to cook your own meals ect......

Definitely check out Sugar Beach Resort. I was there this past October and it was great.

I have written a review about, and there are some pics of the condo. You could check that out too.

Good Luck with what ever you decide!
