Feast At Lele or OLL

For a group of 10 in are 30%26#39;s which would be the funnest luau??

Feast At Lele or OLL

We enjoyed Feast at Lele but I%26#39;m sure you%26#39;ll get favorable comments on both. Here%26#39;s a link to pictures we took:

Get reservations before you go. We were in the front row with res. about 3 weeks in advance.

Feast At Lele or OLL

Of your two choices, I would pick Feast at Lele. They have a fire knife dancer. OLL does not.

Drums of the Pacific at the Hyatt has the best fire knife dancer on Maui. This would be my choice.

We loved the Feast at Lele. It was just the 2 of us. It is nice, quiet, and has table service. It has beautiful sunset view and a fire dance that the OLL doesn%26#39;t. OLL focuses on just native Hawaiian dance where the Feast at Lele has several different sessions of dance from the various islands and IMO has more variety because of that. I don%26#39;t know that I would classify either of these choices as ';fun.'; They are both great, classy experiences. For ';fun'; with a crowd, I would go to a bar...

I did both about a week apart in December. The Feast at Lele is far more intimate, but I thought the food was not nearly as good as I was expecting. Most hot food arrived barely warm. Serving a group is not the best place for fancy dishes that don%26#39;t really tolerate standing time. The squash was really tasty but it was standing so long that a skin had formed on the sauce. I think only one dish really was hot, the steak at the end. Service itself was fine, and staff was uniformly friendly and polite. The show was good, but a small review. Talented dancers.

I know I%26#39;ll take flack for it, but overall, I thought the OLL was more entertaining. No, it did not have the fire dance, but it had more to it and a larger group of performers. The food wasn%26#39;t bad either. Better than I was expecting. And that sort of sums of it up. OLL was better than my expectation and Feast at Lele was less.

Feast at Lele is more formal. You are served the different cuisines of different parts of Polynesia and the food is coordinated with the dances of that area.

The Old Lahaina Luau in more informal, concentrating on Hawaii and its cuisine, not all of Polynesia. It offers visitors Hawaiian history and culture through traditional dance, music and food. Food is served buffet style, so fill up!

Different venues, different point of view, different feel.

Really depends on what you want to experience, laid back or slightly more formal. Both are highly praised by reviewers... it is up to you....

I%26#39;ve done both and vastly preferred the Feast at Lele. The food was far better as were the drinks. Service is outstanding. The show was lovely and seemed more traditional. We found the OLL to be a very typical, very touristy type show. I%26#39;ve never understood all the positive reviews for that show, but we%26#39;ve met several folks who just loved it so....to each his own. Lovely locations for both, great sunsets for sure. But the two experiences were not even close for us.

I%26#39;ve only done OLL, and would not return. The food was ok, and it did not hold the interest of our party.

Nobody commented on the Royal Lahaina Luau - food or entertainment? Most of the Luau%26#39;s have kids attending - I assume, depending on the time of year?

We have a group as well - looking for %26#39;Lively%26#39; entertainment?

';Nobody commented on the Royal Lahaina Luau - food or entertainment?';

This is very kid friendly. 5 %26amp; under free. 6-11, one free for each paying adult. Perhaps the best value for a luau if you are taking kids.

They have an additional kids menu.

Decent entertainment %26amp; decent food.

Because it is very kid friendly, this is one to stay away from if you are not taking kids.

Just so you don%26#39;t get confused:

This is not time share prices although they do have a ';Click here for 2 free luaus'; that is with a time share presentation.

Hello mck2002

Hands down the Hyatt has the best Luau on Maui!!!!

Have your group volunteer and participate in the Luau its a blast.

The young men and women that do the Luau are very entertaining.
