Any advise as to where a 26-year-old surfer who has been hired to teach marine biology at Maui High school might find a decent house to share or apartment to rent?
Moving to Kahuluiwww.konaweb.com
go to the moving to the Big Island forum ( i know you said Maui)
but post there and there is a lady who lives in up country Maui that can give you advice (if you dont find it here)
I guess you could always check WWW.MAUINEWS.COM
lucky you
I would have moved there years ago if I thought I could swing it. Condos that were 100 k are now $300 k
Moving to KahuluiAlso check craigslist hawaii.

You may want to put a free housing wanted ad on here as well...

There a bunch of free printed ';papers'; that might have some listings of places. I don%26#39;t know for you to get a hold of a copy on-line. Check out the other suggestions. You didn%26#39;t say where in Maui you will be teaching? Kahului?
BTW, outonawave, ask them if they need great math teachers. Check for me at Maui C. College OK? I know you won%26#39;t....heck, couldn%26#39;t I move there and do the weather on the local station at 7:00 AM like that dude, and then hit the beach all day.
You see ';caddyman'; + ';Maui'; = ';perfect!';
caddy...
P.S. Get me a job and I%26#39;ll help pay the rent...(smile)
caddyshackman blurted:
';You didn%26#39;t say where in Maui you will be teaching? Kahului?';
outonawave did say and it is in Kahului, not far from Wailuku so either Kahului or Wailuku would work fine.
Ease up on the coffee dude :)
Probably find a tad more budget options in Wailuku town.
Maui News and craigslist are excellent suggestions. Also try some of the less national real estate firms like Whaler%26#39;s and Elite Realty.
Try the Maui Bulletin too. This is a free, local swap sheet that comes out every Thursday.
There%26#39;s one particular poster named HumpbackHelper that might have some very good options. Humpback, where are you ?
Teaching Marine Biology, on Maui,. Very cool ;)
Tropix, leave my pahtnah Caddy alone! At 73, he needs all %26#39;da coffee he can get down, brah!!
;-)
Oh, %26amp; I%26#39;ll add ';an %26#39;interesting%26#39; experience as well'; to your statement: ';Teaching Marine Biology, on Maui,. Very cool ';
Try some local real estate companies. They will handle long term rentals. Also check the classifieds in The Maui News.
Tropix! Guess I should have known that Maui High School is in Kahului....sorry! You know there%26#39;s so schools in Kihei off of 31, but I suppose there elementary and there are schools in Lahina too right. Sorry I didn%26#39;t know.
At 73 years old and high on coffee, my brain cells and life have just about come to an end...unlike a young vibrant dude like you. Hey ';Maui'; thanks for the reply....give my wheelchair a big push and skin up the chins of old ';Tropix boy';.
I do promise to read the posts more carefully next time.....but I got that short term memory problem....you know.....see you all later.....Maui....oh heck....I%26#39;m caddyman....
I%26#39;m sorry about my poor spelling, but at my age I can see, read, type, or talk.....Where the Hell is that TV remote?
Darn...I mean%26#39;t ';can%26#39;t'; not ';can';....I going to go take some vitamins...
Caddy, don%26#39;t stress....I%26#39;ll still defend ya, but....just between us girls..... the title of the thread is: ';Moving to Kahului';
I think that was why our pal Tropix gave you a ';shove';..
Don%26#39;t worry, no one on here (%26#39;cept maybe Bud..) expects you to have a Ph.D in Hawai驶iloan Geography!!!
