Bus to Pearl Harbour

We´ll stayi at the Marriott Waikiki and want to catch a bus to visit Pearl Harbour . Is this possible, or will we need to take a taxi? Is there a bus stop near the hotel?

There are several buses between Waikiki and Arizona Memorial and they%26#39;re pretty easy to catch. For details, go to thebus(dot)org. I know the #20 %26amp; #42 probably go exactly where you want, but check the site for route maps and schedules.

my two kids and myself took the bus to the arizona memorial this past dec. and my advise is to go very very early, it does take a while to get there, but very much worth it.

In 2000 we took a tour bus to the Arizona Memorial. We went with Discover Hidden Hawaii Tours. While it costs more then TheBus, it is also much more informative. The bus driver (Derek, he was great) told us about the history of Pearl Harbor, background into the attack, hints on how to save time in the museum and trip out to the memorial, etc.

In my opinion it was well worth the extra money.

Maybe one of the others can verify but I believe you will want to catch the bus on Kuhio which is the next main street away from the beach.

As mentioned about by Hulajake and Ka honu (Mahalos)

THEBUS runs down Kuhio Ave. and back up it for return trips.

Also besides #20 and #42-they go all the way there but by the time they get downtown (not WAIKIKI) they can get crowded- (not always but the norm)

Anyhow you all could take #2 School Street or #13 Liliha St from Kuhio Ave TOO

and ride to:

Beretania at Punchbowl Bus Stop which is downtown Honolulu.

I call it the Capital Stop as the State of Hawaii Capital is located basically across the street at this stop.

At this stop transfer to the Route A. with your transfer slip

or 4day unlimited ride pass costing $20.

It is a limited stop bus which gets there faster.
