We are discussing a return to the FS for our fifth wedding anniversary (we were married there in October 2004) and we have a new baby who would be almost three if we go for our fifth anniversary.
What does the FS do for kids this age? He wouldn%26#39;t be old enough to use their kids program and we wouldn%26#39;t trust leaving him with an unknown babysitter in the room.
Do the restaurants welcome youngsters at dinner time? I don%26#39;t want to have room service for every meal even though I realize this trip will be a lot different than our wedding and honeymoon trip when it was just the two of us.
Any experience and feedback with having babies/toddlers at FS would be really appreciated. Thank you!
Is Four Seasons toddler-friendly?We%26#39;ve taken a two year old and a one year old to the FS. If we had been anywhere other than the FS the trip with the one year old would have been really tough. They set up a pack n%26#39; play in a cabana for us and our little one was able to nap and play while mom laid out and I swam with her older sister. We%26#39;ve dined with our kids at every restaurant on the property except Spago and all have been very kid friendly. The staff was great with the kids.
We%26#39;re going back to the FS again in April with a bunch of little ones (our 2 and 5 yr old girls and my 3 yr old nephew). I would highly recommend it for any family with young children.
Is Four Seasons toddler-friendly?We have stayed at Four Seasons resort in France and visited Four Seasons at Bali with our son (now 3,5 years old). Boths visits was excellent, for us and for him. He was too young to join their kids club, but we were allowed to stay in the club together with him to play for a couple of hours or take toys from the kids club to our suite. The food was very much to his liking, special kids menues, including more healthy options (not just fries and stuff all the time) at very reasonable prices. In addition they provided kids toiletries in the bathroom, high chairs, free pampers when we had brought too little. He was given pens and colouring books during meals. They had a special kids section during breakfast with a low table where he could get things himself, including special kids cups/plates etc. I think it is the most child friendly hotel that I have ever stayed at!
The FS is a great resort for families with little ones. He is not old enough for the keiki club but he can still attend the program if a parent accompanies him. Seeing that you%26#39;re planning on going in October, the keiki club doesn%26#39;t operate a full schedule because it is considered low season. I was there for during October and my little one, who was 3 at that time, was not able to attend the program.
The restaurants are all very kid friendly however, I recommend that if you do go to Ferraros, hire a baby sitter. The concierge can set up the appointment and we had a fabulous baby sitter who was studying to be a nurse. Our daughter really liked the baby sitter too. Back to the restaurants, they have toys and crayons. They have cute kiddie plates and silverware. They also have a good menu if you%26#39;re not interested in having ';junk'; food for your little one.
When you make your reservations, let them know you have a toddler and they will ask for his name and age. They will babyproof your room and they provide a diaper depot, diapers, shampoo, lotion, powder, and other baby/toddler items. If needed, you can also request a toddler bed. The bathroom will be decorated with cute bath toys and your son%26#39;s name in colorful sponge letters. I would recommend that you also ask for a fridge for you room so that you can store milk or other food items for your little one.
I also recommend that you let FS know that you are celebrating your anniversary and they will send you a bottle of chilled champagne. My family has been to a couple of FS resorts and they all have been super kid friendly so you shouldn%26#39;t have any worries. Have a fabulous time celebrating your anniversary!
