Lanai snuba

I know there are tons of these threads running, and I swear I%26#39;ve read them looking for the answer! Honest! I would love to take that 1/2 day PWF dolphin snorkel to Lanai but my teens are dying to snuba? Do any of the Lanai trips offer snuba? I only see it advertised on Molokini trips.

Lanai snuba

I have never heard of it either in all the dealings with snorkeling I have done. But I did a search and found this company.

It says it closed until June 15th. Snuba is available on it. I have never heard of the boat or how good it is. I do remember seeing it in Lahaina Harbor. It%26#39;s a big catamaran so it will probably have quite a few people on it. Hopefully someone here has been on it and can help with how the boat and crew are. I would give them a call and find out where they stop because other boats may stop at those places and someone can tell about those areas even though they have not been on that boat.

If it doesn%26#39;t work out and they are set on snuba I highly recommend Aqua Adventure ( www.mauisnorkelsnuba.com ). They are awesome with kids. My 12YO son and I did it in July and had a blast. We did our snuba at Wailea with the turtles and it%26#39;s something neither of us will ever forget.

Thanks Dreamin I think I saw the name of that boat on some discount site, I will look into it. I was really hoping I could find one company that could fulfill everyone%26#39;s wants! Yeah, right!

Well if it doesn%26#39;t work out with a Lanai trip the water at Molokini is just as clear and nice as Lanai IMHO. The fish populations aren%26#39;t as high but you have better chances of seeing things like reef sharks and Eagle and Manta rays there. And the Aqua Adventure tries to get away from the more crowded boats as much as possible. When we used them 2 yrs ago we moored over on the left side where the dive boats usually are and we didn%26#39;t have any crowds at all. Plus the boat only takes 40 people not like the 140 like the big boats. But it%26#39;s ride is more comfortable than the rafts. I can%26#39;t say enough about the crew %26amp; owners. And the way they treat kids is awesome. I%26#39;ve told this on here before but on our last trip with them in July there was a small boy that pretty much could only float around on a kick board at Wailea. The SNUBA instructor and other crew would bring up things for him to see like erchins and such. Above and beyond in my book. Another nice thing they offer is wetsuits to use for free. Many people laugh at me when I mention them but they are great for many reasons. They keep you warm because even 80 degree water can get cold with long exposure. They help with floatation and are great sunblock. They make it so you can stay in the water longer with less fatigue. I have yet to see another boat that offers them. I%26#39;m sure there is a few. Good luck with your search.
