I am looking for a RCI resort in Kauai for my honeymoon. Ideally, it would have a swimmable beach at the resort. We plan on staying in one of the high-end hotels on Maui for a few nights, then a week on Kauai, using a RCI timeshare. Recommendations? And Why? Thanks.
RCI in Kauai
Did you try checking their website? Looks like there might be some beachfront on the east shore.

RCI in Kauai
Anyone have any experience with nice places in Kauai with a good swimming beach? I think I might be looking on the north shore, somewhere near Princeville, unless someone has reasons to look south or east. Thanks.
Depends on which time of the year you go. Princeville will most likely by unswimmable in the winter months most of the time---plus many of their resorts are on a cliff. The south area should have swimmable beaches most of the year. The east area is a good base to go both directions, but the beaches there really aren%26#39;t swimmable any time of the year.
Having said all that, we prefer the East side so we can more quickly go both directions.
These 2 are right on spot with what you are looking for,
PAHIO at Kauai Beach Villas
Shell Vacations Club at Kauai Coast Resort at the Beachboy
I have stayed and both a highly reccommned them to friends.
Thanks again everyone, and I welcome any additional thoughts/advice.

The Kauai Beachboy Resort%26#39;s ocean is really rough. They did a nice job of redoing the entire place though. The best beaches for swimming and snorkeling during the summer are up north. If you go before May then head south.
A lot of the activities that we may want to partake in are more easily accessible from the north shore around Princeville area. I%26#39;ve narrowed it down somewhat to:
Pahio at Shearwater
Pahio at Ka%26#39;Eo Kai
Club Intrawest - Kauai
Makai Club Resort or Makai Club Cottages
Anyone have any experience/comments on any of these? Anyone have any other alternatives?
If you could get it, I%26#39;d choose the Shearwater. It%26#39;s the flagship resort of Pahio.
Now I%26#39;m getting feedback that the north shore of Kauai is the rainforest area and may get more daily rain. Is that true? Should it be a concern at all? We really want to find a place that has a beach either at the property or very close by. Does anyone have RCI timeshare experience on Kauai that can help? Should I stick with the north/Princeville area or perhaps look south at Poipu area?
