Hanalei area

What nightlife is there in Hanalei with live music?

Hanalei area

Aloha lillybell...I recommend that you use the search box above (under the green banner) and type in ';nightlife.'; A good number of posts discuss nightlife, what little there is, on Kauai in general and Hanalei specifically.

It is possible after days filled with activities, hot sun, frosty cocktails and you on EST, you just might be happy to watch the moon bounce off the waves and be up about 6 a.m. for a grand Kauaian sunrise....or not.

Hanalei area

There is entertainment at Sushi Blues, and maybe some other places in tiny Hanalei.

We are very activie, and as mentioned, if you are out exploring kauai during the day, not sure night life is all that important.

We would generally be up early, and walking the wonderful trail along the cliffs near poipu, or at the gym, have breakfast and be off to experience the island. So, there were not late nights for us, although we did go out for a while several times. Still, we got plenty of rest before the next days adventures.

So, check with sushi blues, right there in hanalei, to see what entertainment is available.

Hanalei Gourmet, located in the Old Hanalei School Shopping, often has a jazz band playing in the evenings. You can sit inside, out on the lanai or on one of the frond covered picnic tables. Hanalei Gourmet is one of our favorite places for lunch or dinner especially on the lanai people watching.

Oppppps, that should read ';Hanalei Old School Shopping Center';!

The Happy Talk Lounge at Hanalei Bay Resort in Princeville has live music each night. Very nice, relaxing, casual atmosphere. But they usually closed down around 9pm.

We love the views from the Hanalei Bay Resort and the Happy Talk Lounge, along with the Bali Hai Restaurant all of which have some of the most romantic views on Kauai! The Princeville, which has the same view point, also has nightly entertainment.

bjbert posted some beautiful pictures in a previous post titled ';If you miss Kauai...'; which included a pic of Happy Talk lounge and Bali Hai restaurant. Pic #56 and #57 I believe. Here is the link:
