Can anyone advise. I wrote last week asking for advise on where to stay in kauai in Oct. I received great advice, thank you!
Now i have narrowed it down to Anini beach, and I am curious, since the rental i am interested in does not really have a name other than
www.vrbo.com/117313
';family paradise'; has anyone been here??? Looks great, but would love to hear a review.
Thanks again~

Narrowing it down~Anini
While I can%26#39;t comment on the house you are looking at I will say that Anini is my favorite place on Kauai - and the place we will stay when next we return to the island (next year I hope). It is the place in Hawaii that most reminds me of the lazy, lanquid lagoons of the South Pacific (Fench Polynesia, Cook Islands etc). Absolute perfection in my opinion.
Have a great time!

oh good~~
Yeah, it%26#39;s gorgeous there. The lagoon is rather shallow but usually very calm (even in relatively rough weather). Stay away from the outflow at the end of the lagoon and it%26#39;s very safe.
Think of it this way. The bluff over looking Anini is where Brad Pitt and Jenifer Aniston were married - and they could certainly afford to get married anywhere they wanted, so you know it%26#39;s a beautiful location. Also there were apparently some scenes inthe movie ';Honeymoon in Vegas'; that were shot there.

wow~
can%26#39;t wait to see it.
(poor jennifer).
thanks.

Anini Reef Hale, Noho Kai, Blue Anini, Anini Beach Hale, or the Mana Kai Beach house? I know i am crazy, first time, you know......

We really like Anini also. Good place for the kids. I have a photo of one of the areas Ken is talking about at:

I hope that link works anyway. Scroll to the bottom and look for Anini.
Anini is definitely one of our favorite beaches.
It%26#39;s not uncommon for vrbo%26#39;s to have just a number but no name. Don%26#39;t let that worry you, especially if you can see pictures of what you%26#39;re getting.
i almost hate to tell people how much i love anini because i want it all for myself! i especially like the areas past the main beach towards the end of the road...the houses there are right next to the water and you could walk 20 steps and be on the beach. the house that you first posted, i believe is near the end of the road and it%26#39;s very quiet back there...a perfect spot...i hope to stay in one of those houses someday...*sigh*
Garden Gypsy -- As the others have said, you will just love Anini -- it is probably my most favorite spot on the whole island. We have stayed there numerous times. I know the house you are considering, but have not stayed there. It is in an excellent location, down the road and around the corner from the park and the water is really nice there. The view is spectacular. As far as the dothers you mentioned, only Anini Reef Hale would have as nice a view -- it is located just a bit further down the road. Noho Kai is across the street from the beach and it%26#39;s view is blocked by large oceanfront estates. Blue Anini is not at the beach and Mana Kai has only slight ocean views from across the street. I don%26#39;t think you could go wrong with VRBO117313, if the price works for you. There are other listings you might want to take a look at on the website for Serenity Rentals.
Let us know what you decide!
