I%26#39;m starting to plan a trip for May 2008 and I want to be able to jump on the airline tickets with our frequent flyer miles on the day that they are released. We%26#39;re tenatively planning May 2-13 staying the first week either in Hanalei or Kapaa/Lihue and the remaining days in Poipu. How is the weather that time of year in those locations? I%26#39;m most concerned about rain up north since we will be traveling with 2 small kids who will want to swim and be outside.
Thanks!
Weather at the beginning of May?We were just there May 1-12 ,2007. We split our stay between the Princeville area in the North and the Marriott resort in Lihue. We had fabulous weather -- no rain -- well, maybe 5 minutes of raindrops one day. The weather was great in Poipu at that time as well. It was not too hot yet. You will have a great time !
Weather at the beginning of May?We were just there, too - May 1 -5. It was a little breezy, but that meant it wasn%26#39;t hot at all (perfectly warm for snorkeling and splashing!). Be sure to pack a light long sleeve something - I bought a lightweight zip up hoodie in Hanalei after DH complained when I kept borrowing his sweatshirt - I couldn%26#39;t pack my own, it would take too much space away from my shoes! =]
