A new series called Maui Fever filmed primarily in the Kaanapali beach area premiers tonight 1/17/07 on MTV. It looks interesting. If nothing else, I%26#39;m sure the scenery shots will be great!

Pretty bad so far but it has some good shots of Kaanapali and Black Rock. Pretty much surfers and bikini babes looking to ';Hookup';. Haven%26#39;t seen one that isn%26#39;t blonde yet. lol

Not enough ';natural beauty'; (subtle innuendo) for me to watch it again.

Yes, this is like a '; Laguna Beach'; but Maui version- nice views of Kaanapali but too much drama with these young kids which I wonder, how are they able to afford to live in Maui? Are they actors from the mainland or Maui born or what?

These kids are definetly NOT Maui born! Not one local kid among em. Full on actors (and very poor ones at that!) set up on this island to make yet another stupid reality show. But this one is THE WORSE one yet. Some stupid haole boys trying to tap some bleached-blonde haole okole. YUK! This is sooooo MTV!

LOL, Piliki you speak the truth! :) The show is pretty bad and actually I should not have compared it to Laguna Beach because at least those are ';real kids'; from Laguna. Shame on MTV, at least they could have found some local young kids, that would have been better!

Yeah, I watched about 10 minutes of it, and thought it was lame-o.

It looks like most of the action takes place outside of the Kaanapali Beach Resort.
