Thank you!!

Our favorites-

Pearl Harbor - Arizona Memorial and USS Missouri Tour

North Shore - if you like shrimp, stop at a shrimp truck - yummy!

Hanauma Bay

Pali Lookout - amazing views of East Oahu!

You should hike Diamond Head, just to say you did it. But I wouldn%26#39;t do it again.

We also got great views of Waikiki/Diamond Head from the state park on the Tantalus/Round Top drive. The drive is an edge-of-your-seater and kind of creepy, but it%26#39;s still beautiful. The only bummer is the road is closed past the park, so you have to turn around and come back the same way.

One more tip - get a convertible! You can see so much more while you%26#39;re driving.

See Waikiki from the water.

Take a sunset catamaran cruise.

You%26#39;ll be glad you did.

It was one of my favorites.

Scenic drives:

1.) Tantalus

2.) Makakilo

3.) Kole Kole Pass (need military ID)

Walks:

1.) Manoa Falls (easy forest trail)

2.) Makapuu Lighthouse (paved)

Be sure to visit:

1.) Pali Look-out.

2.) Valley of the Temples (in Kaneohe)

3.) Pearl Harbor AZ Memorial.

Hanauma bay is nice, but expect to stay the better part of a day there. There will probably be a line where you will have to wait to get in, and once inside you will pay extra to rent snorkeling gear.

Skip the PCC. It is way overrated.

If you like the idea of paying $100 just to see a bunch of guys in loincloth, shaking sticks and clubs while chanting:

“Ooogga-Booga, HA!”

“Ooogga-Booga, HA!”

“Ooogga-Booga, HA-HA-HA!”

...then that’s fine, but when a fire-dance and a guy who climbs a coconut tree and husks the coconut with his teeth are the highlight of the show I, for one, would forego the pacific-island version of “N-Sync” and think that money is better spent if you were to stay close to your hotel, drink like a fish and have a great tasting meal to finish off your evening.
