resort or condo in Kihei-Wailea area

We are coming to Maui in July. After much research, and after reading alot of your reviews, have decided to split our stay between Kaanapali , and then more south in the Kihei-Wailea area. Any suggestions on where to stay. We would like to be oceanfront, preferably with a beach we can swim on. Snorkeling is a plus. And a pool to relax by after a dau of sightseeing.. We thought it would be easier to do area sightseeing if we were already in the area, definetly want to see the winery and of course Haleakula Summit. A one bedroom condo, or a resort that is central is fine.

Do you have a copy of Maui Revealed? This would be very helpful to you for planning your trip and choosing accomodations.

We like Wailea Ekahi Village in Wailea, very quiet on Keawakapoo beach with a beautiful pool. mauiownercondos.com for rentals by owner or VRBO. I don%26#39;t recommend renting from property management companies. They charge way too much and you never know what you%26#39;ll get. Elua Village is also great on Ulua Beach but quite a bit pricier.

Oceanfront in South Kihei: Hale Pau Hana, Kihei Surfside, Mana Kai.

Oceanfront in Wailea: Wailea Beach Villas, Wailea Ekahi, Wailea Elua, Polo Beach Club, Makena Surf.

Or...any of the posh resort hotels in Wailea. They offer a variety of single rooms, suites, villas, etc. (I wonder if we will ever see a post from someone who has stayed at the Four Seasons in their $12,000 per night accomodation!)

or Royal Mauian and Kamaole Nalu....both oceanfront in South Kihei...
