I have read on this forum that Goofy Foot is very good. I think they are somewhere in South Maui?--maybe someone can confirm this?

We have gotten our kids surf lessons while on Maui. There are many surf lesson companies that set up in the parking lot of the Kam Beach (across the street from Bad A$$ Coffee) in Kihei. Ask the concierge at your resort to recommend a company - we have used a couple different companies and have been happy with them. Wish I could remember the company names :-(

Hi there we are actually in Maui right now and just finished a lesson with Goofy Foot today! It was awesome, we were a group of 4 and had 2 instructors for all of us. They were super patient and totally adjusted their assistance to each person%26#39;s level. I was really glad we went with them, everyone had a lot of fun.

We just returned a week ago and used Maui Wave Riders for Surf lessons for our 2 girls. They are in S. Kihei and were great - would use them again

We used Goofy Foot. They were great. You can watch your kids in their surfing lesson while having lunch at Pacific O%26#39; if you like. They also had a professional photographer who took some awesome pictures and put them on a CD for you. They are located at the very end of Front St. in Lahaina. Enjoy!!!!

We visited Maui in April. The Four Seasons arranged a private surfing lesson for my 6 year old daughter through Maui Wave Riders. Her instructor, Sol, was great. Very positive and patient. He geared the lesson perfectly for a 6 year olds attention span and stamina. I highly recommend MWR. She left with a real desire to surf and will be attending surf camp back home in So Cal this summer (haven%26#39;t yet broke it to her that the water%26#39;s just a little colder at home).

We did Maui Wave Riders and it was great. Really nice people and you get a discount on surf board rentals. Our son got a discount this year on a rental because he took a lesson last year from them.
