2nd time around

Just curious what you%26#39;ll be doing your second or third trip to Maui.

Me %26amp; DH will be back in BEA-utiful Maui on February 23rd-March 6th.

I%26#39;m going to do some snorkeling and relaxing. We did so much the first time round.

We were constantly on the go. I%26#39;m looking forward to some down time. My stress level from work has me dreaming of endless days of sun %26amp; whale watching from my balcony.

I%26#39;d love to hear from the rest of you

2nd time around

We have been back three times and revisited those places we liked like Paia and Makawao. Did some things we hadn%26#39;t done like the beach path in Wailea. Ate at some restaurants we liked and some that were new. Did spend a lot more time on our lanai watching the ocean and the ';pass';, the third time.

2nd time around

These all fit in the ';regrets'; column for me:

1) More beach walks w/ DW, especially early in the mornin and at sunset.

2) Get DW on Ginger and/or Dramamine (see #%26#39;s 3, 4 and 5!).

3) Drive the entire road to Hana and around the backside.

4) Drive around the west side of the island.

5) Take a sunset cruise, probably not a dinner cruise, just one w/ drinks and pupus.

6) Spend more time lurkin around Wailea and Makena.

7) Sunset and drinks at the Hula Grill.

8) A full day charter fishin trip.

9) Explore the upcountry a little more thouroughly.

10) Actually ';see'; the sunrise on Haleakela (we were there, the sunrise was not---FOG!!).

~Den~

We don%26#39;t have our dates nailed down yet, but we%26#39;ll be going back in August. I think this will be my 11th trip to Hawaii, 7th one to Maui.

I haven%26#39;t been to South Maui in about 20 years and my husband and son have never been so we%26#39;d like to check out some of the beaches down there and also eat at Mama%26#39;s Fish House, even though we%26#39;ll most likely be staying in the Honokowai or Napili area.

We%26#39;ve done just about everything else in the past and will spend the majority of our time at the beach, pool, bbq%26#39;ing, dining out and drinking mai tais.

This May will be our twelth trip. We are doing NOTHING! Just lay in the sun on the beach, snorkel a little and do whatever we feel like. Every trip we do less and less.

I would however at some point like to take a snorkel trip to Lanai or go to Molokai.

We will be going back in Feb %26#39;08 for our second time as well! Yhis time we will have our 3 kids. Our plan is to spend the majority of our time at different beaches. Some things we want to make sure we do are; take a trip to Lanai or Molokini for snorkel and whales, take them to OLL, and zipline at Haleakala. That%26#39;s about it, so far. our trip is a long way a way so I am sure we will be adding more to the itinerary!! Have Fun!!

Wow 12 times how awesome. I%26#39;ve been to Lanai to snorkel and toured the Island a bit however we skipped Molokai

I%26#39;d like to give that a whirl next time..

This March will be our second trip---it rained most of the trip last March, so there were things we couldn%26#39;t do. We will be making up for lost time, but also spending time relaxing:

Stop at Maui Tacos right from the airport; Boogie board with the kids on the beach; enjoy the pool and activities at the Westin Kaanapali Ocean Resort Villas; take in sunrise at Haleakala and maybe the bike trip down; lots of snorkeling off beaches and bays; drive the West and North end of the island and see Dragons Teeth, Olivine Pools, Blowhole, etc all after having breakfast at the Gazebo restaurant; drive the road to Hana again, but hike the Pipiwai Trail this time to the falls; Best of all, we are planning to have lunch at Mamma%26#39;s Fish House for our 18th wedding anniversary. We have heard great things and didn%26#39;t make it there last time. Go to Warren and Annabelle%26#39;s magic show; We plan to cook out on the resort%26#39;s BBQ grills near the beach and watch the sunset! We just can%26#39;t wait!

every trip we say we will do a Lanai trip or Molokai but once we hit the sand we never move...we get too lazy. My husband also has a very stressfull job and it%26#39;s great downtime for us with our son.

Lyle, let me know if you do a Molokai or Lanai trip. I need tips.

exp reminded me of something I%26#39;d like to do - rent a boogie board for my 8 year old. I think he%26#39;d have a lot of fun with it.

we always rent them, our son loves them. I highly recommend Maui surf riders for kids too. They do a great lesson in really shallow water, kids get right up because they are so small.
