By car, Whaler%26#39;s Village is about 1 1/2 - 2 miles. It%26#39;s a litle shorter if you walk along the beach to the Kaanapali resort area. Kahekili Beach Park is great for swimming and snorkeling and is just a short walk south.

you CAN walk from mahana to whalers village but i don%26#39;t know if you%26#39;d WANT to. my husband and i stayed at the embassy (near the mahana) and walked to the whalers village once. it was a nice walk, but long. we are in good shape and by the end of the walk on the way home, i was pretty beat. the beach is great the whole walk through although there are some spots where the water comes up high during high tide and the beach is also at a slant which could prove problematic for people with bad ankles or knees. i thought we%26#39;d want to walk for dinner at whalers and have a nice leisurely walk home along the beach, but it%26#39;s a pretty far walk and you%26#39;d be in a big sweat by the time you got there. it%26#39;s a beautiful walk though!
