There is a place where we have stayed in the past (and loved)called Plantation Retreat, about 10 minutes inland in the jungle. We have been trying to contact them to stay again this February but have been unable to. Does anybody know if it is still open for business?
Plantation Retreat
Just came across their website the other day. Good luck.

Looks like they may be out of business now...copy and paste this old T.A. post.
Just want to say there are a lot of similar type rentals up in the Wailua area, some of which are listed for folks who want to include a visit to the Hindu monastery in their vacation plan. Check out the site below and click for rentals/accommodations nearby, etc.

Here is better lodging info. for that area.
I have been trying to get in touch with them; no luck. If you do get them, please let us know. I booked with them 2 years ago and never got any confirmation; ended up staying in Kapaa, then last year Waimea, where we will be in 1 month from today!!!! We really like the feel of the areas that are more local.
Any info on whale sightings, and stuff not to miss this trip would be mucho appreciated.
Thanks, Leisa
See today%26#39;s (1/28) kauaiworld.com for The Garden Island News article re: whale count.
Thnaks BJ, awesome article!!! Can not wait till we are there; will be posting for advice until then.
Hope to snorkel and sunset whale watch, any suggestons welcome. Thanks again for the hikes near Waimea: we found the traffic last year to be very daunting and will probably spend majority of time east/south/west side.
And I will finish my ';bikini body in 4 weeks'; before I get there.
Watch out, I am over 45.
Thanks to all for the info and speedy feedback. Sorry to hear that it looks like Plantation Retreat is no longer in business. Hopefully someone else will resurrect the business in the future. It really is an amazing location. We will have a look at some of the other places in the area.
Thanks again.
I encourage you to copy and paste the list of 30 or more B%26amp;Bs, cottages and houses available near where Plantation Retreat was located.
I hope my post above was not misinterpreted to indicate only visitors to the monastery. It is just that the monastery highly recommends those tried and true privately owned local B%26amp;Bs, cottages and houses within a few miles of their facility as well as a few hotels on the east side.
