I read that it%26#39;s the rainy season in hawaii in february but i%26#39;m planning to go like... february 14-20 or something. will it be crowded on waikiki beach?
Waikiki in February, good time or bad?
So far this winter we have received very little rain. Even when it rains, it is usually windward %26amp; mountan areas. Very little rain in Waikiki.
Last year was an exception. It rained for over 40 days straight. But even then Waikiki did not get the rain that most other areas got.
I%26#39;ve never thought of Waikiki beaches being too crowded. Others say it is. That are areas that are more crowded than others. If you don%26#39;t like one area, move down the beach 100 yards or so. It%26#39;s almost non-stop beach for 1 1/2 miles.
Ala Moana Beach Park is right across the bridge from Waikiki. Its less crowded %26amp; about 1 mile long.

Waikiki in February, good time or bad?
Waikiki is differently crowded depending on which exact stretch of the beach you hang out at. One end up around Fort de Russey park is very pretty %26amp; rarely crowded, in the middle of the beach VERY crowded, then again at the other end by Queen Kapiolani park not so crowded.
Also the beach is narrower, wider, fine sand, course sand, sloped or flat depending which particular ';beach'; on the beach you pick. Some parts have good ammenities like snack bar, outdoor showers, bathrooms, other parts don%26#39;t. Also the kinds of people are different at different parts (old, young, sporty, lazy, gay, straight, families, or retired people).
I got home last night %26amp; in our 1 week stay we had a couple times that were drizzly or rained briefly. But mostly it was sunny and warm temps 79-83 range. I can%26#39;t imagine less than one month away would be that much different. ~Suze
