We are visiting Maui in October 2007 as part of our Honeymoon, and i%26#39;m just wondering what the weathers like then.
We will be there from 8th - 15th Oct. Is it warm enough to sunbathe, swim in the pool and sea?
Trying to forward plan what type of clothes we%26#39;ll need - i know it%26#39;s a bit premature....
Thanks
Weather in october??
Yes, yes and yes. It should be about 80 to 85 degrees (26 to 29) and you will want to wear short sleeves or sleeveless shirts and shorts or a skirt all of the time. Even when it rains it is still warm though I have seen people wearing lightweight ponchos and sometimes plastic garbage bags (I guess that was the cheapest option) in the rain and in windier locations. South Maui will be a little warmer and drier than West Maui. It would only be wise to bring winter clothes if you are going to Haleakala at sunrise - it does warm up there during the day but in the early morning, it is literally freezing. The ocean should still be around 80 degrees. The trade winds might not be as predictable as in summer and when they stop, the heat can be stifling.
Weather in october??
We travel to Maui every October from the 8th-23rd. It is almost always nice. 85 degrees give or take a few degrees! Swimsuits, shorts, tanks and flipflops are all you really need.
Seems every other year or so, it might rain for part of a day but even then, it is still warm. Enjoy!
Our anniversary is October 3. We honeymooned on Maui and returned for our 14th anniversary last year (Sep 29-Oct 6). The weather on both trips was perfect, outstanding, unbelievably nice. Plenty warm but cool enough in the evening that you can open the sliders and listen to the ocean. Just bring shorts and t-shirts and swimsuits and maybe an aloha shirt or two. Congratulations and best of luck.
