Any help would be great!
We will be in Ka%26#39;anapli May 22nd - 31st 2007. Looking at either the Sheraton or the Westin.
Looking for the best overall experience. Will their be alot of kids there during that time?
Thanks in advanced!!
Westin or Sheraton?
My pick would be The Sheraton because of location and a quieter feel to the resort. But I do know the Westin has some really great swimming pools for kids. We have friends with time shares there and they really love it.
Westin or Sheraton?
Aloha!
Sheraton has a GREAT beach, seems more quiet and romantic, and has larger rooms. It%26#39;s NOT a 5 star, but a VERY nice 4 star experience!

Thanks.
One other question. - If you stay at the Sheraton can you use the pools and pool area at the Westin (since they are both Starwood hotels)?
Not that we would be using them alot, but it would be nice to have the option. Thanks!
You used to be able to do this, but I think I remember reading on here that they stopped the reciprocal privileges between the Westin and the Sheraton.
Can someone else confirm this?
I would go with the Sheraton. As the previous poster said, the Westin tends to be more crowded and busy. I felt the Sheraton was quieter and more romantic.
Thanks all!! Looks like we will be at the Sheraton. Which is the hotel I was leaning towards myself. Thanks again!
There are no pool sharing privileges, but you can have charging privileges and stuff, which is nice.
I%26#39;m in the minority, but I think the Westin is a better hotel. The pool is better, the restaurants are better, being next to Whaler%26#39;s Village is nice, and I think overall the amenities are nicer. From the wood padded pool chairs (instead of plastic) to the pineapple infused water near the the front door and the beautiful lobby, I just like the Westin better. It also has a kid%26#39;s club right in it, if that matters to you -- at the Sheraton you need to commute to the Westin for a kid%26#39;s club, or at least that%26#39;s my understanding.
One caveat, though -- it does depend somewhat on what room category you%26#39;re staying in. The rooms in the bigger tower at the Westin are small. Accordingly, if that%26#39;s the room class you%26#39;re looking at, and room size is important to you, the Sheraton has the advantage. However, a point that many people miss when they say the Sheraton has bigger rooms is that the ';deluxe'; rooms at the Westin are actually much larger -- the rooms in the smaller tower near the beach. If you are booking in this category, the room sizes will be comparable.
Definitely the Sheraton if you don%26#39;t have kids with you. The kids at the Sheraton hold their day camp at the Westin! No, you can%26#39;t use the Westin pool when you stay at the Sheraton. The pools at the Sheraton are very relaxing and there is room for the chaises to spread out instead of being crammed in like the Westin. There is a nice beachside pool bar also.
