My husband and I are going to Waikiki and staying at the Hilton. We will be there in the middle of April for our 10th wedding anniversary. We will be there for 8 days and would love any advise we can get. Is it still whale season? What are the top things to do and the best places to eat?
Where do we start and must sees?
There will be some whales here. But, most will have moved on back to Alaska.
Friday night Polynesian show %26amp; fireworks at HHV.

How exciting-your 10 year anniversary! We went in 2005 for our 5-year anniversary and loved it. I totally agree with dusty-The Polynesian Cultural Center-we spent two days there and still didn%26#39;t quite see and do everything! We loved it. And the fireworks at the Hilton are great. Oh, you should go snorkeling out at Hanauma Bay (or other places).
We also enjoyed just touring the island-seeing different parts of it. We stopped at a lot of pullouts by the beach and viewpoints. The North Shore is nice-a lot slower-paced than Honolulu and Waikiki. If you like hiking, Diamond head has fantastic views and Manoa Falls is really nice-rainforest climate with bamboo. We enjoyed both of those. Of course, there is Pearl Harbor-the Arizona Memorial, the U.S.S. Missouri (battleship), and a submarine tour. If you want to learn all about pineapple, go to the Dole Plantation. And of course, there are the beaches! We went to several different one around the island. Have a great trip!
Get a copy of ';Oahu Revealed';. Flag some things in there that really interest you and then come back to the boards for even more detailed information.
Thank you so much for the information. How helpful. I will get the book you recommended and thanks agian dusty for all the information.
My husband is wanting to see the sharks? Is it worth it doing? Has anyone done it before?
