The best way to Waikiki is by taxi. The cost is about $35.00 to

your hotel plus tip and luggage charges. The shuttle will be about

$36.00 for 4 people. If you go on line and google Hono lulu airport

taxis you will find companies that will take you for a fixed rate of about

$30.00 plus tip and no luggage charges. One note about the shuttle is that they use50 passenger buses and have to make several stops before they reach your hotel. You may also want to consider a tour in a

taxi. Most companies charge an hourly rate. You can then start and finish when you want to and make as many stops as you see fit.

Rent a car while you are on Oahu. You will see the island much better with a car.

By the time you pay for shuittles, cabs, buses %26amp; tours that you can do on your own, you won%26#39;t save any $$ by not renting a car.

Lots of Oahu info including a couple of driving tours:

I think a taxi is a good idea. I would / have rented a car, but only for a day or two ,, parking charges are outrageous, at least 15 - 20 dollars a day, so we just rent it for a day or two of sightseeing, and then used the bus around Waikiki locals( or walked)

I used ABC Limousine last year and it was great. Lei greeting, free gift, and drinks. It was worth it. Watch out for some of the taxis at airport. They%26#39;re dirty and old although I saw some nice taxi limos. I don%26#39;t know if they are same rate as regular taxis.Try abc limo at www.abclimosvc.com. For sightseeing, try Robert%26#39;s tour or trolley or even city bus (cheap). Good luck!!

Thanks for tip on the limo company. I think we will be using them for our trip in March. We are staying at the Outrigger Waikiki, however, won%26#39;t be picking up our rental car until two days later when we heard for Turtle Bay resort. Was wondering if anyone could reccommend a good limo company and I am glad you did. I check out their site and called them. Very nice people and reasonably price. Thanks again!

How much did the limo service cost? My husband and I are making our first trip to O%26#39;ahu in May and are staying near diamond head and were wondering if we should rent a car for all 6 days or maybe just a few days or maybe not at all??? Any ideas would be appreiciated!!

I paid $150.00 roundtrip with 4 leis, one box of choco mac nut and drinks. I requested super stretch limousine so I paid little more than the regular stretch rate. But it was worth it. Good luck!

I only need transportation one way so my quote was $75 which includes a 6 passenger limo, 2 leis, drinks and a gift.
