Are the renovations and construction still going on there?
Good experiences? Bad ones?
Do the Scenic View rooms have a nice view from the lanai?
We%26#39;ll be there in 63 days!!! I%26#39;m ready - I need some Aloha :)
Has anyone stayed at Kaanapali Beach Club recently?
Aloha!
Renovations to the interiors are done!
Pool will get a face-lift in late November.
Scenic view could be of the resort grounds, the mountains, or highway.
I am taking my family at the end of March.
I think it is a GREAT valueNot the best beach, BUT a good location, and the NEW interiors look great.

Thanks for the response. I%26#39;ll be looking forward to your Trip Report when you get back, ok? And the better beaches are just a short drive away, that%26#39;s not a problem.
Hi, I just returned yesterday. I already submitted a review, but I don%26#39;t think it will post for a day to two.
All in all, I was not pleased with the new management and the way the property is now being run by Sunterra Property Mangement. My negativity may be due to the fact that I was used to the hospitality and friendliness of the Embassy. Although the rooms are definately upgraded and nicely re-done, the overall atmosphere and rigidness of the hotel, is far from what I%26#39;ve come to know as the Hawaiian way of hospitality. The breakfast thing is again rigid and overly controlled. You can%26#39;t take food out, seat yourself, or even bring your own cup of coffee in.
I would not stay there again.
I am going to be staying at this resort in July and I hope it is just as nice as it was when I was there in 2005. I will be using my in-laws timshare and I figure for free why not. My hubby and I are not picky people we are very much go with the flow. I know the beach was not the greatest when we were there last time but that was ok with us because we spent a lot of time driving around the island and snorkeling and swimming at a different beach everyday.
One thing I know that has changed since were there is the breakfast buffet. It used to be you payed one set price of $70 a week (I think that was the price) for the breakfast buffet for everyone in the room. I thought that was a steal. Where else on the island can 4 people eat breakfast for $70 for the week? But from what I have read they are now charging for breakfast. To bad.
I am interested in seeing how the room renovations turned out. I will post a trip report with pics when I get back.
