snorkel trip that leaves near Kaanapali?

We are looking to go out to Molokini but most leave from MAALAEA HARBOR which appears to be about a 45min car ride so was looking for any options that we could leave near where we are staying (Sheraton Maui).

Thanks!

I noticed several companies that left out of Kaanapali but I%26#39;m not sure if any of those boats go to Molokini or just up North. There was Trilogy, Kapalua Kai, and Gemini I think, and Teralani (but they only have two different trips and I think they are both NOrth).

You don%26#39;t really want to go to Molokini anyway. The Kapalua Kai trip to Honolua Bay is shorter, way cooler, and generally involves raising the sails on the way back. It leaves from in front of the Whaler. You can walk to it.

Didn%26#39;t take a snorkel trip with them, but we did the cocktail cruise on the Kapalua Kai and it was great. They leave from in front of Leilani%26#39;s on Ka%26#39;anapili Beach. We saw them anchored at Honolua Bay with a snorkel group on one of our drives and said we%26#39;d definitely book them for that on our next visit.

The reason Molokini is not a good destination from Kaanapali or Lahaina is because the boat has to spend to much time (and gas) motoring to the destination, rather than letting you snorkel. That%26#39;s why they leave from south Maui. We done a couple snorkels like that, and it is an early wake up call.

We%26#39;ve also done the north trip. We parked our car in Whaler%26#39;s village, left our sandals in a box on Kaanapali beach with the other snorkelers, then waded through the surf and climbed the front loading ladder onto the Kapalua Kai. Same with Gemini. Honolua Bay is a good snorkeling destination, and the catamarans are a lot of fun.

We have a page each on our Gemini / Kapalua Kai trips at lahaina-family-vacation.com/snorkeling-trips…
